Kissan Mushroom Spawn

Process

Home  >>  Process

Kissan Mushroom spawn is prepared from high quality pure culture. The process followed for its preparation is briefly outlined below.

Healthy wheat grain is used as substrate for spawn production. It is boiled, prepared to desired alkalinity and then sterilized at a pressure of 22 PSI in polypropylene bags. Sterilized grain is inoculated with fresh culture under sterile conditions using laminar flow. It is then stored in the incubation room (incubation period varies for different varieties of mushrooms) till the spawn bag is ready. Freshly prepared spawn is supplied to the farmer.
